Is a deposit required?

A 50% retainer is required to secure the date for your order and is non-refundable.

When is my balance due?

The balance due is 10 days prior to your event. If balance is not paid on due date, your order will be cancelled.  


How do I pay?

All our payments are handled online and payable via debit, credit card, Apple Pay and Venmo. Payments may also be given in person. When your deposit and final payment are due, you will receive an invoice via email. 


Can I rent one of your cake stands?

Yes, all of our cake stands and display items are available to rent. We will be adding our Rental Page soon. *Client will be responsible for the replacement value of any lost, stolen or damaged rental items.* 

Can I pick up my order?

We do personal delivery with in San Diego with fees starting at $10. Cities out of San Diego will require a delivery fee of $30 or higher. You are also welcome to pick up your order via curbside. 

Do you have a store front?

We are a Cottage Food Operator (home based bakery) with ServSafe Food Manager Certification.


Do you make sheet cakes?

Yes, we only charge $5 per serving of undecorated frosted sheet cake.

How much do you charge for custom and wedding cakes?

Semi-naked & smooth buttercream start at $6.00 per serving.

Fondant cakes start at $8.00 per serving.

*Please note this is a base price. Additional fees will be added for elaborate designs. 

My guests has a nut/soy allergy, do you offer products that are safe to order?

Dulcet Confections is not a nut free facility. Our products may contain milk, eggs, wheat, peanuts, soy and other potential allergens. We may omit some of these items from our goods based on dietary preferences. *Please note that we are unable to guarantee that trace amounts of these ingredients won't be present in our goods. 

We do offer gluten free chocolate cake and gluten free buttercream. 

How do tasting appointments work?

Tasting appointments may be arranged for a fee of $25, which includes 4 cupcakes in a mixture of flavors you wish to try. Once a booking is made, the tasting fee will be applied as a discount to the price of your order.
